I'm a credentialed teacher with ten years in the classroom. I hold an active Arizona teaching credential and a master's degree in education, with both a single-subject credential in math and a multiple-subject credential. I started out credentialed in California before moving to Arizona. I recently moved back to San Diego. Now I specialize in working with neurodivergent students across the country, helping them understand how they learn, strengthen executive functioning and social-emotional skills, and build a more confident relationship with math and school.

That range is unusual, and it's why I can often tell a family where their student actually lost the thread, not just that they're behind.
What I do now.
Changing a student's relationship with math.
I specialize in working with neurodivergent students — including students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, executive functioning challenges, or anyone who has developed friction with traditional ways of learning.
I start by understanding the student, not the curriculum. I build trust first, so students feel comfortable being honest, making mistakes, and showing me where things stop making sense.
Then I learn to see the problem the way they see it. From there, I can translate math, schoolwork, and abstract ideas into language, visuals, patterns, or real-world connections that actually click for them.
We work through it together rather than me simply instructing them. The goal is not just to get through an assignment — it’s to help students feel understood, discover how they learn, and begin building a different relationship with school and with themselves as learners.
